Playa Langosta is the quiet, high-end end of Tamarindo — multi-million-dollar homes, thick tropical growth, and a beach most visitors never find.
The town: 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive on a new paved road. The walk is part of the appeal — howler monkeys and exotic birds most mornings.
The beach: Directly accross the neighborhood road, Playa Langosta's tide pools are full of colorful fish and the occasional octopus. Playa Tamarindo is a short 10 minute walk on the same road to town and provides wide sand beaches for long walks and generally calmer waves.

For surfers: directly in front of the estuary is the local favorite break. You'll see more boards than cars in the mornings.

Nearby: a well-stocked grocery store and three restaurants within walking distance. Downtown Tamarindo — restaurants, bars, surf shops, tour operators — is a 2-minute drive.

The guests will have access to the entire property.

Tamarindo is just over an 1 hour away from the Liberia Airport, you can arrange shuttles or car rentals through us with special prices and discounts.

Once in Tamarindo you can rely on the informal taxi service or rent an ATV to move around and discover some amazing beaches 30 minutes away from us.

Cerca del Mar 10 was built the way Guanacaste houses used to be: hand-crafted floor and wall tiles, tropical hardwood doors and cabinetry, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, and cast-stone fountains you can hear from the pool. Moroccan-influenced architecture wraps the whole villa around its gardens, so wherever you're standing there's something green in view.

Living + kitchen

The Great Room opens directly onto the pool terrace, with landscaped gardens on both sides. The custom kitchen is fully equipped with American-style appliances — dishwasher, full oven, cook-center range, full-size refrigerator, garbage disposal. Just outside, a pergola-covered dining area with ceiling fan and gas grill: this is where most guests end up eating every meal.

Bedrooms:
Primary suite (ground floor) — king bed, garden views, private covered terrace. En-suite bath with cast-stone double sinks that opens to its own tropical garden. Built-in dressing area and direct access to the laundry.
Mirador suite (upstairs) — king bed, views over the private pool. Full en-suite bath with an indoor garden.
Third bedroom — Two twin trundle beds, sleeps 4, full en-suite bath with a shower that opens onto an interior garden.
Plus a half bath off the living area.
