Lovely location – you just can’t beat it. The house is literally across the street from the beach and *the* sunset watching spot everyone gathers to for a sort of communal experience / Costa Rica Tradition. It is a short walk to the local hangouts (the Surf Grill was excellent and sort of a gastro pub / sports bar with a ton of space and games. Fish and Cheeses was also excellent). The house was also about a mile walk to Tamarindo, and the walk was pleasant (they have street lights and sidewalks). One of the things we liked about the walk was we often saw the monkeys on the way. Also birds and flowers. (Bring a water bottle though – I do confess we cab’d it a couple of times on the way home for about $4 US). This spot gave us Tamarindo and its energy and amenities when we wanted that. It also gave us a relaxed uncrowded space and pace the rest of the time in a friendly spot where people get to know you – something I personally appreciated as sometimes people can get overwhelming. Also it is what I really think of as a vacation. Super nice to have both options. The house is smartly designed, fully walled for privacy, and just lovely. There were things like beach chairs for us to use and a full kitchen. The internet was fast, and the TV’s were smart. For me though, the star of the show was the pool, which I can not say enough nice words about the pool after a day of tropical heat. We had the we had the monkeys come to visit us 3 different times at the house as well – and some green parrots. Really cool. Also want to say the staff was great, and are located right down the street by the food store if you want to talk in person about which tours or restaurants are good (I’m old school, I like face to face). We really, really love this place, and we will be back!

We’ve been traveling all over Costa Tica for the last 8 months and this was our favorite stay! It’s truly a private oasis 1 minute to one of the most beautiful beaches in all of CR. The management was very responsive, but we barely had to call on them as everything was wonderful. I can’t think of one negative thing. If you want a quiet, peaceful place to stay within walking distance of the bustling little town of Tamarindo, this is your place. Book it!

Great location. A few maintenance issues that management was quick to address. Will stay there again.
