Tamarindo is Costa Rica's iconic Pacific surf town in Guanacaste province — a wide sandy beach for swimming, surfing, and sunset walks, with a walkable village of restaurants ranging from beach-shack ceviche to fine dining, plus surf shops, yoga studios, coffee houses, boutiques, and lively nightlife. The estuary directly behind Casa Oso is a protected wildlife corridor; expect to see howler monkeys, herons, and iguanas from your terrace. Casa Oso is located in the residential area but close enough to restuarants, Sofia and Fish and Cheeses are some of our favorites to walk to.

Both Tamarindo beach and Langosta beach are a flat 5 minute walk from house. The southern end of Tamarindo beach is well known for calmer waves, tide pools, and a wide beach area for walks and enjoying the sunsets. Langosta beach provides great tide pools, rocky outcroppings, and larger waves if you are a more advanced surfer.

You'll have full, private access to the entire gated property — six bedrooms, the private pool, hot tub, terraces, full kitchen, and dining areas. Our on-site team is available throughout your stay to arrange anything you need: surf and yoga lessons, private chef nights, sport-fishing trips, ATV rentals, sunset catamarans, grocery pre-stocking, and airport transfers.

Casa Oso is a newly built 6-bedroom luxury home, gated and walled for privacy, directly across from Tamarindo Beach. The home is designed for groups: every bedroom is en-suite, the kitchen and dining area are sized for cooking and eating together, and the outdoor space — private pool, hot tub, and a terrace facing a protected estuary — is your group's alone.

Most international guests fly into Liberia International Airport (LIR), about a 1.5-hour drive away, with nonstops from many US cities. Tamarindo Airport (TNO) is a 10-minute drive from the property and offers connecting flights from San José (SJO). Our concierge team can arrange private transport from either airport. Once in Tamarindo, almost everything is walkable; ATVs, golf carts, and 4x4 rentals are easy to book locally for day trips to nearby beaches such as Playa Conchal, Avellanas, and Nosara. The property has enough parking space within the gated house for 2 vehicles.
