Day 1 – Plan your flight into Liberia International Airport so you are only a little over an hour a way from Tamarindo. Have one of our private taxi’s pick you up and drive you to your comfortable condo or private home with a pool right in Tamarindo or nearby Playa Langosta. Get yourself unpacked and enjoy a sunset walk on the beach. Enjoy a quick dinner at a nearby restaurant or stop by Auto Mercado on your way in to pick up some groceries and a quick meal to cook.

Day 2 – Wake up and listen…Most likely all you will hear is nature and very little human noise. You might hear howler monkeys, parrots, and the waves crashing on the beach. Sailing
Charter a private sailing yacht with Serendipity charters. Serendipity is a 50ft sailing yacht that will pick you up and take you sailing for the afternoon, stopping to do some snorkeling and enjoy a great meal. Sail back during sunset. For groups up to 12 people, this is a great option for a private experience with your family and friends.

Similar to Serendipity, hop on one of the local catamaran tours. These catamarans are a great option for you to experience Tamarindo bay and some hidden bays for snorkeling. Casa Banyan, standing just a few yards from the warm Pacific, and surrounded by its own walled tropical garden, is a traditional 3-story beach house adjoined by an independent bungalow. A large gated parking area on the street side and an 18-meter lap-pool on the beach side complete this little piece of paradise.

Terra-cotta tile, solid wood and floor-to-ceiling windows give the main house at Casa Banyan a sunny and organic feel. On the first floor, past a generous foyer are two spacious bedrooms rimmed by windows and a wooden staircase leading to the second floor. Each ground-floor bedroom with private baths, sleeps two; one in two twin beds and the other in a queen-sized bed.

The second floor of Casa Banyan contains a kitchen and small television room with comfortable family-style furnishings and is walled to the west entirely by windows and glass sliding doors that display the Pacific panorama. A third floor loft bedroom tucked into the peak of the roof is accessible by a stairway in the TV room. It contains a queen-sized bed and boasts a small sunset-view porch.

A deck spans the length of the second floor and is furnished with an outdoor dining area, grill and rocking chairs. A catwalk connects this elevated outdoor area to a bali-style rooftop lounge on top of the beach-front bungalow.

Surrounding the pool on the terrace level below, sun and shade lounging is afforded in the jasmine-scented garden is surrounding the pool (with underwater benches) is flanked by the lounge chairs of a jasmine-scented garden and a separate bougainvillea-covered palapa. Wake to birdsong. So far we have counted over ninety species from the terrace. Check the surf. A family of monkeys often grazes in the trees across the road from the house and whales are sometimes sighted passing the point below. There is an apartment over the garage where Juan Carlos, the part-time caretaker lives. He oversees the housekeeping and gardening and reports issues to the office if needed. He is around most evenings and available for emergencies.
